About Coach Viet

Coach Viet brings over 15 years of martial arts experience to the mat, holding a first degree black belt under Professor Samuel Snow of the world-renowned Alliance Jiu Jitsu. His journey has been shaped by a deep commitment to the art, a respect for tradition, and a passion for helping others grow through martial arts.

Having trained, coached, and taught across different disciplines, Viet believes that martial arts is more than just physical technique. It’s a lifelong path of discipline, humility, and constant evolution. He teaches with the same mindset he trains with focused, intentional, and grounded in respect.

In addition to his Jiu Jitsu background, Viet has trained in kickboxing and Muay Thai for six years, rounding out his striking game and reinforcing his belief in the value of well-rounded skill sets built on solid fundamentals.

Gym Culture Matters

For Viet, gym culture is everything. In today’s world, many gyms focus only on only training or whatever techniques are hot at the moment. But that mindset misses the essence of what martial arts is about. This gym is different.

“Here, we respect the art. We bow on and off the mats. We hold structure. We recognize the lineage of the techniques we use and the people who paved the way before us. Training isn’t just about moves it’s about the mindset, effort, and character”.

“Respect for the space, the instructors, the training partners, and the process is non-negotiable. Culture and consistency are what elevate a gym from just a training space to a true martial arts community”.

What I Want for My Students

Viet’s goal is to build not just skilled athletes, but humble, respectful, and mentally strong individuals. With this comes confidence. Whether you’re here to compete, challenge yourself, or simply grow, you’ll be pushed to improve in every way.

Every student will learn structure. Every student will understand why we train the way we do. And every student will be part of something bigger than themselves.

This is a place to grow, to struggle, to overcome, and to earn it all with pride.
